Off the Beaten Trail to Hawaiian Beach Accommodations

So often when we travel we would like the comforts and ease of home but still the adventure and excitement of being somewhere new. For those of us who are particularly rebellious we like to steer clear of the overpopulated, over done, over built, and over commercialized travel spots and visit the road less traveled. We want to experience all the cool thrills but don't want the long lines, the chain restaurants, and the crowds you can get when you go to the more touristy, tourist spots. So, where can you go to get fun, sun, and relaxation but have a little more seclusion and a more unique experience? One of the Hawaiian Islands has it all and more but just keeps it on the down low. Which island? Kauai.

You may have never even heard of the island of Kauai. It is the most Northern island of the six major Hawaiian Islands and a little smaller than Oahu. There are flights to the island from the airport on Oahu. Though you can find the same amazing tourist attractions there as you would on Oahu or the Big Island, you will not find the same hustle and bustle. On Kauai, your will experience something different from all other Hawaiian vacations.

In terms of accommodation, you still can get the standard hotel option. However, there is an impressive abundance of Kauai vacation rentals. Considering that visitors prefer that community feeling, the vacation rentals contribute to that end. Who wants to see skyscrapers and high-rise hotels on a tropical island? We want a small town, local feeling. We want seclusion, privacy, yet something with all the same luxurious possibilities a resort could offer you. A vacation rental is just that. You can have your hot tub and balcony too. Make your vacation home rental your home base where you can kick back, relax, and really get the most from your vacation experience. What is more is you are not limited to any particular style of vacation home. You can choose from romantic Kauai condos built for two or a spacious luxury home rental to accommodate and spoil the whole clan. Don't forget location can be a key factor in your experience. There are vacation home rentals available all over the island, from secluded spots to beachfront; you will likely be able to stay almost anywhere you'd like. Kauai has fantastic forest front and Hawaii beach accommodations.

Just because Kauai is less touristy than other islands doesn't mean that you will run out of fun things to do. You can still get your beach, and swim time in as well as those surfing lessons you've always wanted. Try kayaking, hiking, and in-land exploration when you want a break from the sand. Get your offshore ocean tours and see whales or dolphins. Try deep-sea fishing or just delighting in eating deep-sea fish. Get all you could want from a tropical vacation without feeling like just another tourist, get off the beaten trail on Kauai.
