There Are No Rooms in Delhi and Mumbai Hotels

If you plan a business trip to Delhi or Mumbai (Bombay) in the nearest future, you shall have to think of accommodation, since there are no free rooms in hotels of these megalopolises.

Businessmen and tourists are recommended to seek alternative variants of accommodation beforehand.

The majority of 5-star hotels are booked till March of 2008. The average annual load factor increased to 90% which is 10-20% higher than the last year indicators.

Due to quickly growing demand for hotel rooms many hotels have increased their accommodation tariffs. The average cost of a standard room increased from 10-12 thousand rupees to 16-18 thousand as compared to the previous year; suite rooms cost 25-30 thousand rupees.

According to Vice-President of Crowne Plaza, the hotel owners have on the average increased their prices by 30-35%. The complicated situation with the lack of free hotel rooms is aggravated at the beginning of the wedding season.

The hotel demand boom is caused by several reasons, among which the 30% increase in the number of foreign businessmen visiting the country should be mentioned first of all. Besides, the increase in per-capita income, as well as availability of special packet offers have made the hotel product even more attractive and popular.
