Paying Guest Accommodation

The idea of paying guest accommodation is gradually gaining momentum. Where a hostel was the preferred choice among students and immigrants, paying guest accommodation has taken over the complete scenario. Hostels did have their share of popularity with most of the students staying in hostels. However, with the shift in the generation and the safety concerns, most prefer to stay as a paying guest.

The accommodation comes with a number of options that have an upper hand over the conventional hostel facilities. Flatmates are relieved of the cleaning as well as the cooking in such an accommodation while it also includes furnished rooms, parking, and good food, along with enhanced safety. With the increase in the popularity of the paying guest mode of accommodation, property dealers have also been offering the accommodation at convenient rates that will suit the immigrant working population.

On the contrary, for women and girls, a ladies hostel still stand out as a better option when it comes to safety. Being with a group of roommates will ensure better security when in a new city. However, a group of women and girls can easily find safety in a accommodation as well. The idea is to check through the paying guest facility before enrolling themselves.

Following are the essential criteria that should be checked and made sure before choosing a PG accommodation in a different city.

Location: The location of the PG facility is important. Prefer a residential complex instead of a commercial locality. The place should also be close to the work place or the college you go, which betters your traveling. Having transport facilities near to your paying guest facility is another important criterion that must be checked. Make sure that you also confirm with the existing roommates about the facilities at the house.

Convenience: A paying guest facility is bound to offer food, which is included in the rent. However, checking these little things will give you a better understanding of the facilities.

Restrictions: Get a thorough information about the restrictions that the owner may implement. In case of any, you may want to present your situation with them in order to clear any of the discrepancies that may arise later on.

Rent: The rents for most of the PG accommodations are similar to that of a hostel. However, make sure that the food and the other basic amenities come under the rent, barring, which would not serve the purpose of a PG.

Moving to a new city may seem an overwhelming idea, but with the accommodation facilities solved, the rest of the issues will become alright with time.

Gold Coast Hotels and Accommodation

Choosing the best place to stay while on holiday at the Gold Coast of Queensland Australia can be quite a challenge, not because it's hard to find, but because there are so many options!

Lets Break it Down:First thing to note is that the Gold Coast is made up of several suburbs, mostly positioned along the glorious coast and some spreading inland right back to whats called the Hinterland region.

So, you have a choice of being near to the ocean and beach, some that are inland in amongst suburbia and some in amongst natural settings of rain forests. So, if your looking for serenity, or a green eco-holiday, look towards the Hinterland area, and if your trying to save some bucks the inland places maybe a little cheaper.

The bulk of accommodation options are located along the coastline, if your looking for somewhere very close to the beach check the suburbs of Main Beach, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Miami, Burleigh Heads, Tugun, and Coolangatta. The last four of those suburbs will probably offer the cheapest accommodation next to the beach.

Also consider how close you would like to be to all the nightlife. Surfers Paradise is the center of all the action being packed with clubs and bars. There's also a casino and a couple of nightclubs at Broadbeach. If you want to go out every night then one of those suburbs would be my choice. It can be tough to get taxis late at night (or early morning!) on the Gold Coast.

If your looking for something out of the way and a little more exclusive check out Hope Island and Sanctuary Cove. They also have golf courses. There's more golf resorts located in and between the suburbs of Parkwood and Robina.

Once you have a rough idea of the suburb that's going to best suit your style of holiday then you can go about finding the best deal. Gold Coast accommodation isn't renowned for being cheap, but if you hunt around and plan ahead, great deals can be found.

As you'd expect prices go up during peak periods such as school holidays and during major events such as the GC600, formerly the Indy Carnival, although prices for accommodation during the four day car racing event have come down dramatically in recent years prices for a place next to the track can be much higher than normal rack rates.

Budget accommodation on the Gold Coast will start around 60AUD and mid-range places close to the beach will go for between 90 to 160AUD. Many of the discount accommodation brokers such as hotelclub and roamfree can provide rates well below normal rack rates see goldcoastinfo.net for a full list of discount accommodation brokerages.

It also worth noting that most accommodation on the Gold Coast is self-contained apartment style, which may feature kitchens and fridges. The buildings themselves are resort style with many featuring pools, spas, gyms and more. There are actually only a handful of hotels in the region mostly located around Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach.

Good luck with choosing your place to stay, be safe swimming at the beaches and enjoy the sunny, beautiful Gold Coast.
